In my last Hello Fresh box I received the fresh ingredients and recipe cards to make the following yummy meals for two: Pan-Fried Summertime Chicken with Pancetta and Fresh Peas, Teriyaki Chicken with Coco-Nutty Rice and Bok Choi, and Mozzarella Stuffed Beefburgers with Caprese Salad. The box costs £39.00 including delivery and you get everything you need all conveniently measured out.
Here’s how I got on with the Mozzarella Stuffed Beefburgers with Caprese Salad. I’m actually surprised as how easy it is to make burgers, no more pre-made burgers for us from now on! They were so tasty and the ciabatta works really well as a burger bun.

Out of all the bath bombs that Lush make (which I swear used to be called bath ballistics!) my current favourite is Space Girl. It’s shaped to look like Saturn, though as I typed that I thought perhaps it’s meant to look like a flying saucer. It’s a gorgeous lilac colour and covered in glitter. I always try to pick out the one with the most glitter because I love it though I know some people hate the stuff!
Bath bombs are so easy to use, simply drop into your bath and watch it fizz about. I sometimes crack bath bombs in half to get more use out of them especially the bigger ones. This one I tend to use in one go as it’s so much fun! As it fizzes away it turns your bath water a lovely glittery lilac shade and it releases popping candy which makes teeny tiny explosions in water. The first time I ever used it I didn’t realise it had popping candy in it, you can imagine my surprised face!
To me Space Girls smells like a cross between parma violets and berry sweets which is strange when you realise that it’s actually a very citrus bath bomb; Grapefruit oil is the featured ingredient along with Bergamot oil and Almond oil. Weird, it definitely smells more like berries and parma violets to me.
It’s not a particularly moisturising bath bomb despite the almond oil, though it’s not drying either. It’s just a lovely, relaxing product to use which smells great and is a lot of fun. You can buy Space Girl bath bombs for £2.10 each from Lush stores or from their website.

Last week I showed you the TONI & GUY products I received as part of the latest word of mouth Bzz campaign featuring TONI & GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe – a complete range of haircare and styling products to help you express your personal style.
I’ve been trying them out over the last few days and the first one I’d like to tell you about is the Sea Salt Texturising Spray which is from the Casual Collection. The spray is can be applied to damp or dry hair to add texture and body and create a tousled, wavy beach look with light hold. I have quite long hair which is mostly straight with a few random waves and kinks, though it does have quite a curl at the ends! I don’t like to have to spend a lot of time on my hair and actually salt sprays were a favourite product of mine last summer as it is so easy to simply scrunch into your hair and go!
I tried the Sea Salt Texturising Spray first of all on my damp hair, about six sprays all over, then plaited it and left it to dry naturally. The spray has a gorgeous fresh scent to it, it makes me think of when you go to a salon and they use all their professional products on your hair. After letting my hair dry, it did have a nice wave to it but not really much texture. My hair was still quite shiny and soft, which is great if you want a shiny soft look but not great when you’re aiming for beachy waves.
So today, bearing this in mind, on my “day two” hair I sprayed straight onto my dry hair, again about six sprays all over, and gave it a good scrunch. This, combined with the waves created from the plait the day before, gave a much better look: the beach style I was aiming for with lots of texture and movement. The light hold in the spray certainly does the job as the waves have held all day despite me rushing about. I reckon that the waves will hold tomorrow as well, I’ll just give my hair another spray’n’scrunch and hopefully I’ll be good to go!
TONI & GUY Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray comes in a 200ml bottle and can be bought from Boots for £7.19, although I received this product as a sample through the Bzz campaign. There are cheaper sea salt styling products out there that create a similar look but because this spray also holds your style you don’t then need to use a separate hairspray; I think that makes it pretty good value for money.
Have you got any tips to help me create a wavy beach look? Or do you prefer a more classic style?

So far I’ve shown you two out of the three meals that were in my first ever Hello Fresh delivery. Hello Fresh offer a weekly box full of all the fresh ingredients required to make delicious meals from scratch, along with the recipe cards to guide you through it. The service is £39 for a box with three meals for two people, though they have different subscriptions for more meals or to cover more people.
In my Hello Fresh box I had all the ingredients to make Hail Caesar Salad with Roasted Lime and Herb Chicken, Pan-Fried Salmon with Homemade Guacamole and New Potatoes, and Chicken Curry of Champions with Basmati Rice. This is how my Chicken Curry of Champions with Basmati Rice turned out.
Yummy! I love a good curry, it’s my takeaway of choice! I sometimes make curry myself – dhansak is my absolute favourite so I learnt how to make it – but generally I’m too lazy to do it. This curry was so quick and easy! It was quite mild but full of flavour. I have to admit I left out the coriander as I hate the stuff.
I also manage to make cook rice properly for the first time ever! I normally buy “easy cook” rice otherwise my rice always ends up overcooked and gloopy. The trick is to cook on low for 10 minutes then rest off the heat for 10 minutes, but DO NOT remove the lid from the pan until the full 20 minutes are up. Ta-daaa, perfectly cooked rice!
I’m really looking forward to my next Hello Fresh delivery, I’ve decided to get a box once a month. If you want to try out Hello Fresh for yourself please feel free to use my discount code which will get you £20 off your first box! The code is C4MJSY, just pop over to www.hellofresh.co.uk to get going!

One of the items in my Joliebox a few months ago was a 15ml tube of Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm which is for normal, dry or sensitive skin types. I have a bit of a thing - you could perhaps say it’s an OCD - where I cannot open a new product if I already have one on the go. So I waited until I’d finished up what I was using at the time before trying this out. I’m now totally in love.
The face balm is a daily skincare cleanser jam-packed with loads of amazing ingredients, such as: anti-oxidant Artic cloudberry, Roman chamomile and red mandarin to cleanse away daily dirt and leave your skin soft, bright, cleansed and calm. It has teeny tiny bits of oatmeal which gently exfoliate. It also has shea butter, cocoa butter, rosehip, cameliia, kukui nut oil and virgin coconut oil, all of which are rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins and lipids to soften and boost your skin.
I’ve been using this face balm in the evening to remove my makeup and cleanse my face before bed. I use a pea-sized blob, massage between my hands then smooth over my face. You then apply a little water and smooth over your face again, before removing with a clean flannel (or muslin cloth if you’re fancy like that). It gets every last bit of makeup off, including mascara.
The face balm is meant to be for normal, dry or sensitive skin types, however I actually have combination skin which has gone absolutely haywire during pregnancy. It can be dry one day, oily the next. I noticed an improvement to my skin within days of using this cleanser and after a few weeks my skin has really normalised; everything else in my skincare routine had stayed the same so I do think this cleanser has made all the difference.
As well as being very effective, it’s also an absolutely lovely product to use! I used to hate cleansing my face at night, it seems such an effort when I just want to go to bed, but now I actually look forward to it! This little tube has last ages because I only need a teeny amount each time, so when I buy a full-sized 125ml tube I know it will last a long time.
The full-sized tubes are £20.00 and come with a muslin cloth, though I am a flannel girl through and through so I’m not really fussed about a bit of muslin! I cannot recommend this cleanser enough though, if you get the chance to try definitely do so. I love it!
