June Empties
National Breastfeeding Week – My Experience, My Tips!
Porridge is my current favourite thing to have for breakfast. It gives me enough energy to keep my going until lunch, sometimes later if Baby N is keeping me really busy, and oats are reportedly great for increasing breast milk supplies. When I got an email from Graze, the company that send you little snacks through the post, inviting me to try out their new Breakfast Box for free of course I said yes!
The Graze Breakfast Box contains four days’ worth of porridge. I got Coconut & Date which also has yogurt coated seeds, Blackcurrant & Cranberry which has honey, Apple & Cinnamon which has honey, and Blueberry & Lingonberry. The box comes with instructions on how to cook the porridge in a microwave, which looks super easy, but I don’t have a microwave so I just cooked mine on the hob.
Coconut & Date was my favourite closely followed by Blueberry & Lingonberry. The portions were slightly too small for me so I have to admit I added some of my usual oats as well; I’m a hungry girl! It’s an expensive way to have breakfast but it makes a nice change from my usual plain porridge. It’s inspired me to get some coconut flakes to jazz mine up a little!
The Graze Breakfast Box will set you back £3.89 including delivery but you can get a free box by using my referral code, ZC44XD6, or by clicking this link http://www.graze.com/uk/p/ZC44XD6.
Let me know if you try it and what you think!

Neal’s Yard Remedies Rejuvenating Frankincense Facial Oil
The June beauty box from Birchbox arrived today. I had a slight panic when I checked the tracking this morning and it said that my box had been delivered and signed for by a name I didn’t recognise. It turned out that the wrong tracking number was on my dispatch email. Phew! This month Birchbox has had a bit of a makeover with a new logo, new colours and a different bag inside the box.
Festival Chic is the theme of the June beauty box from Birchbox; here’s what I got in mine:
Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle Leave in Conditioner – This smells amazing and I can’t wait to try it! It doesn’t have a list of ingredients so no idea what is making it smell so good but it does say that it’s an instant detangler that protects from UV and heat, adds shine and smoothes the hair. The bottle doesn’t say how much product it contains, I’d guess around 15-25ml.
Color Club + Birchbox Wanderlust Collection Nail Polish – The Wanderlust Collection features 4 nail polishes that are exclusive to Birchbox, each one inspired by the locations of the Birchbox global offices. You can buy the complete set from the Birchbox website. My box contained 2 of the polishes: Mod in Manhattan, a bright calico colour, and London Calling, a pastel mint green. The latter was in a little package with a note suggesting to give it to a friend and details of how to win 100 Color Club polishes. Both of these nail polishes are 7ml.
Green People Sun Lotion SPF15 – I love Green People. Their products are free from nasties, not tested on animals and they donate 10% of profits to charity. I just hope we get some decent enough weather soon so that I can actually try this out! It’s a 20ml tube.
ModelCo Eye Define Eye Pencil – I received a black eye pencil. It says that it stays soft and creamy for about 30 seconds to allow for blending before settling to a smudge-proof finish. It sounds great! It also has an in-built sharpener which is so handy because I can never find mine when I need it! 1.2g.
Carole Franck Fluide Fraicheur Phyto Moisturizer – I really like getting moisturisers in my beauty box because I’m so fickle and love trying out new ones. It says this is lightweight and non-greasy so sounds ideal for the summer months. It’s a 10ml bottle.
I love this month’s box contents, I’m not going to any festivals this year but if I was these products would be perfect for taking with me. They’re perfect even for staying home all summer!
If you like the look of the Birchbox beauty box and want to sign up, please feel free to use my referral link: http://birchbox.co.uk/?raf=674. The box costs £10 per month plus p+p.
