REVIEW: Seascape Soothe Body Butter

When I was pregnant I became a lot more conscious of my skin and started making a more of an effort to use some sort of body moisturiser each day, especially during the winter months when the cold weather and central heating reeks absolute havoc on my skin. When the weather gets colder I prefer to use something a little richer like this lovely body butter from Seascape.

The Soothe range from Jersey brand Seascape, has been created for use before, during and after pregnancy to help the skin through the pre- and post-natal period. The range is fragranced with pregnancy-safe essential oils such as lavender, ylang ylang and mandarin. It’s also paraben, silicone, petroleum and SLS free and suitable for vegetarians.

Seascape Soothe Body Butter is made with Jersey beeswax, shea butter, cocoa butter, rosehip seed oil, grape seed oil and sweet almond oil to help reduce stretch marks and repair damaged skin. It’s a thick butter but still quite light meaning it moisturises deeply but absorbs really quickly. I hate waiting around for body lotions to sink in!

I’ve found this body butter leaves my skin feeling really soft and nourished; if only I had known about it when I was pregnant as it would have been a perfect belly butter! The fragrance is calming and relaxing, just what mums and mums-to-be need. It would be lovely as part of a gift for a new mum.

Seascape Soothe Body Butter costs £22.00 for a generous 125ml jar and can be bought here.

Disclosure: I received Seascape Soothe Body Butter for free for review, however all thoughts and opinion remain my own.

  3. I'm a sucka for anything body butter - how well does it work on stretch marks? I had a growth spurt when I was younger, one which skin on my thighs did not agree with! Nothing seems to have really worked on mine :(

    Hmm maybe...

    1. I haven't got any stretch marks so not sure how effective it would be, I think it would be great to minimise the chance of getting them though xx
