On Sunday night Baby J had me up half the night - I wish I was exaggerating - so yesterday we had a quiet day at home. When J went for his nap, Little N and I got the craft stuff out and had a go at some of the Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom Festive Fun activities. There are lots of fun things you can do, such as making Christmas cards and crackers, a letter to Santa, a Christmas hot chocolate recipe and a dot-to-dot Santa's sleigh activity.
First Little N had a go at making a Christmas card and then coloured in the Santa's sleigh. He is a little too young for dot-to-dots, but he loved colouring it in bright green! He declared that the card and the picture were both for Daddy which was not surprising. Everything he makes is always for Daddy. It's never for me. I'm not jealous. Sob.
Then we made some Christmas crackers using empty loo roll tubes, coloured tissue paper and sequins. I made up the crackers and then put small blobs of PVA glue across them so that Little N could stick his sequins and glitter on them. He loved doing this, he spent a long time choosing each sequin and stuck them very carefully. He was so proud of the finished crackers, and of course gave them straight to Ian when he got home from work. I will have to sneak one to put in my memory box!
We love Ben & Holly! What a great activity! We've been making snowmen and gingerbread houses on the blog :) Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteNext Christmas I definitely want to make gingerbread houses!x
DeleteAah you're so good! I have been utterly rubbish and haven't done any crafts with the boys this Christmas! We've been SO crazily busy!! Looking forward to a couple of days off to recuperate!! This looks like something they would love to do — making a mental note to self!!! :) Happy Christmas to you and yours :)
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to squeeze crafts in around Christmas but these are quick to do and fairly mess free :) xx
