Welcome to Happy Days! Katy and I host this linky with the purpose of inspiring you to make the most of each day, no matter what you've been up to, and to find happiness in every day. It's where I share the little moments that have brought me joy.
Here's what has made me happy this fortnight
I missed Happy Days last week as I was busy trying to get organised for Blogfest, and the boys were being absolute devils, so I just gave up trying to write a post and decided to leave it in Katy's capable hands for the week. But I am back now!
Here's what has made me happy this fortnight
• Finding Dory. We had never seen it, so over Little N's birthday weekend I took the boys to watch it. It was being shown as one of the "Movies for Juniors" screenings so it was super cheap, too!
• Waffles and ice-cream. Not for me, but for the boys. Sometimes it's nice to be naughty and the boys had waffles and ice-cream for their tea one evening. They were thrilled!
• Attending Blogfest. Blogfest is one of several blogging conferences held each year and this was the first year I've ever been. I had a fabulous time, met some wonderful bloggers and came home feeling exhausted but inspired.
• School tours. Little N starts reception next September which seems ages away, however the application process begins now. I've been visiting a few local schools and have been so pleased with each of them. They are very different but I think he would be happy at any of them which makes me feel better about the whole process.
• J learning to say more words. He has added biscuit to his vocabulary, which he pronounces as "betbet". It's very cute, however he has a tendency to nag me for a "betbet" all day now!
• Fabulous friends. I've had lots of support from friends and family this week, be it listening to me get things off my chest or helping me with childcare so I can do things like visit schools.
• Positivity and kindness. People are being so supportive of me during this pregnancy and my pregnancy diary posts seem to be getting a lot of attention from you lovely readers! Week 15 is up if you've not read it yet.

Ooo waffles and ice cream for breakfast!? For me this morning please!! I love the first words, Robert is doing this at the moment and saying things that only I know what he means!! It's fab! Thanks for hosting 😀
ReplyDeleteThey even had marshmallows and sprinkles on top! ;) x
DeleteThat was me this time last year doing the school tours, I'm p,eased its all positive for you. Such a big decision. Yay to ice cream and waffles. Thanks for hosting X
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely, fingers crossed we get one that we like! x
DeleteAh glad you have had plenty of support and friends to help. Being pregnant and looking at schools - lots going on. Those waffle cones sound amazing - may daughter would eat ice cream daily if she could xx Thanks for hosting x
ReplyDeleteThey have been asking for waffles and ice cream every day since haha! x
DeleteWe are doing school tours too but for secondary. Eek how did that happen? I want some waffles now! Thank you for hosting #HappyDays
ReplyDeleteTime really flies doesnt it! x
DeleteI still haven't seen Finding Dory! Really need to take Daisy to see it! I also know the feeling of being nagged for a biscuit haha. Sounds like you've had a lovely week with lovely friends and family :) xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll find it at one of the kids' screenings at the cinemas :) x
DeleteOoh, waffles and ice cream sounds like a fabulous treat! 'Betbet' is adorable too (although Max nags me constantly for snacks throughout the day too, so I can totally relate to that!) Hope the Baby and Toddler Show was great!
ReplyDeleteHe's usually really good and just wants grapes and bananas, but now he knows how to ask for a biscuit that's what he asks for all the time!x
DeleteGreat news that the schools are good! And isn't it lovely to have great friends! Xx
ReplyDeleteIt's so reassuring to have had a good feeling about the schools x
DeleteWe don't really do school tours here, we just register at the catchment area school and they hold a place for you. Only an issue if you want outwith, you then apply and see if you can get in. Those waffles look like a great treat. Lovely photos xx
ReplyDeleteThat's how I think it should be done, local kids at local schools! Unfortunately distance is the 3rd criteria in our area, 4th for one of the schools, which is why I'm visiting so many others as we didn't get our nearest (300 metres!) for nursery school due to a record number of sibling applications x
Deleteit's so much better when you find schools that your child will like. Makes the process so much easier. I remember sitting up waiting for the 'results' to be announced! And now our daughter's in year 2. Time flies! Thanks for hosting #happyDaysLinky
ReplyDeleteNow I really want waffles and ice cream! And a packet of betbets, preferably chocolate ones. Glad the school visits are going well, it's always a relief when you're happy with the choices available x

What a lovely week :) I love Finding Nemo but haven't seen Finding Dory yet.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good week! The time goes so quickly doesn't it? Glad the school visits are going well. If we were in England our Little M would start next September too! But it makes me a little bit anxious when I start thinking about it, because we hope to move back in the next year, but have no idea when! So I just have to tell myself it will all work out for him. Glad you enjoyed Finding Dory ;)
