What was the highlight of 2016?
Finding out that we are expecting another baby and that it is a girl!
Name one thing you are most likely to remember about 2016 if asked in five years time?
I know big things have happened in the world but I have a brain like a sieve and never remember exactly what happened in which year. But something I will never forget is losing my beloved Nan at the start of the year.
Sum up 2016 in one word.
Busy! The blog is constantly picking up pace, I'm doing social media work now, the boys keep me on my toes and all the while I have a new baby AND a wedding to plan for!
Name one pearl of wisdom from 2016 that you will carry with you through 2017.
The time with our children goes so quickly so to make the most of it and enjoy it. You don't get these years back. I would have been starting a midwifery degree in September but I was having major wobbles about how much of the time I would miss out on with the boys. Someone told me that the course will always be there but the years with my children whilst they are young won't be, so I decided to withdraw and will re-apply in a few years.
Do you have any new year resolutions?
No. I haven't made them since I was at school and you had to write them every year upon the start of the new term! I never stuck with them so I don't pressure myself now.
How are you seeing in the new year?
With Ian and a Chinese takeaway and a bit of naff tele! We're not cool enough to be invited anywhere, plus we have the children!
What would you most like to do in 2017?
Have a wedding that goes to plan! I've done no planning yet and it is in less than seven months' time, eek!
What are your main goals for 2017?
Finally declutter the house properly, not just in dribs and drabs. Find the elusive balance between work and family. Spend more time reading books.
Sounds like a great way to celebrate New Years! I'm in hospital but I have cheese and crackers! Yummy! Good luck with your decluttering! That is for sure one of my goals too!
