It's funny that the last time I wore a bodycon style dress must have been about five years ago at least, and I've not been brave enough to wear one since. This pregnancy has given me so much body confidence though. I don't know if it's because I know this is my last baby or because I'm just proud of this little life growing inside me, but I have loved wearing clothes that show off my growing bump.
The wonderful team at Jojo Maman Bebe sent me this gorgeous wine coloured dress and at first I thought, "oh no, I'm not brave enough to wear that." But actually, I love wearing it! Okay, so it hugs my bottom a bit and I'm not as confident about that, but I love the way it skims over my bump and highlights my blossoming shape.
The knitted dress is a semi-fitted style; it has a high neck, three quarter length sleeves and is a mini-length. If you're of normal height or tall, this will probably stop just above your knees, but as I am on the shorter side at 5'2" it stops just below my knees. It still looks lovely though and the vertical ribbing elongates my shape so I think it actually makes me look a little taller.
I'm very much a fan of being comfortable during pregnancy, I have more than enough to moan about without wearing restrictive clothes as well! I've been mostly wearing my pregnancy jeggings so far but I have reached the point where they are starting to annoy me. Dresses are much more comfortable and way more practical.
What I love about this dress is that I can style it up for evening, which I have done a few times having worn it to afternoon tea and out for dinner for my friend's birthday, and it is also perfect as a day dress. I like wearing it with black tights and little grey ankle boots, and of course my beloved Mexican bola chime. You can find the dress here for £39.00.
Love love love love love!!!
