This year marks six years of me either being pregnant, breastfeeding, or both. That's a lot of change that my body has gone through, especially my boobs! This year also marks the 25th birthday of multi-award winning maternity lingerie brand, Bravado Designs. I've mentioned before about how previously, I was never too fussy about maternity and nursing bras; as long as I could feed my baby then that was good enough for me. Then, I discovered Bravado Designs, and I've never looked back. Nowadays, they're the only brand of bras I wear!
Over the last 25 years the brand have supported pregnant and breastfeeding mums all over the world, and to celebrate they are going back to where it all started. Relaunching its first ever maternity and nursing bra, the Original Nursing Bra is back with a brand new modern look, feel and design. Bravado Designs kindly sent me one of their Original Nursing Bras to try, along with another of their Body Silk Seamless bras. The latter is their flagship style and I have it in several colours as it's soooo comfy!
The new Original Nursing Bra still features the brand's heritage style that mums know and have loved since the brand's beginnings. The design has been tweaked a little to give it a modern update so it now includes a comfy, wide bottom band and a flat smooth racer-back for extra support. It feels supportive and comfortable and the look is sporty and cool.
The bra is made out of a breathable cotton-modal fabric blend and has a wire-free design. It's perfect for wearing during pregnancy as well as breastfeeding. It has Bravado's statement "B" nursing clips which can be undone and redone one-handed and the cup fully drops away to make breastfeeding as easy as possible. Like the other Bravado bras, the Original Nursing Bra comes with a conversion kit so that when my breastfeeding days are over (sob!) I'll be able to turn it into a "regular bra". Which is great, because honestly, I can see myself wearing these bras wayyyy after my breastfeeding days finish!
